Molasses Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

1 ½ c. shortening

2 eggs

½ c. molasses

4 tsp baking soda

4 c. all purpose flour

1 tsp cloves

1 tsp ground ginger

2 tsp cinnamon

½ tsp salt

Instructions

Melt shortening over low heat. Let cool. Add sugar, molasses and egg. Beat well. Shift dry ingredients together. Add to 1st mixture. Mix well. Chill. Form into 1 inch balls. Roll in sugar. Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.

Bake 375 for 8 to 10 minutes
