Easy, one pot, Stove Top Macaroni and Cheese

I found this recipe on halfbakedharvest.com but made some changes based on our personal preferences. What a yummy recipe though. Definitely one we will make again. This easy to make macaroni and cheese was a hit in our house home!! This recipe serves 6 people. Next time I'm going to double this recipe. I love that vegetables were added to the pot truly making this a one pot meal.

Easy, one pot, Stove Top Macaroni and Cheese

Ingredients

1 lb Elbow Pasta

3 c. broccoli florets

1 c. whole milk

3 oz cream cheese

1 medium shredded zucchini

2 tsp mustard

2 c. sharp cheddar cheese

1 c. shredded monterey jack cheese

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp paprika

¼ tsp cayenne pepper

salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

In a pot, boil 4 cups of water. Add your pasta, 1 ½ tsp salt and frozen broccoli Florets. Cook for 8 minutes, stirring a few times within that time. When timer goes off add milk, cream cheese and mustard. Cooked for 4 to 5 minutes longer. Add Sharp & Monterey cheese and seasonings and stir until blended together adding salt and pepper to taste and enjoy.
