Bachelor’s Delight

This is a recipe that my grandma Frehner made for the family when we all got together. It's super simple, makes a lot of food and fills tummies. In 1965 my mom (Patrice Miller) went to visit her uncle Graeme Frehner and his family in California. After a fun afternoon on the beach they made this yummy taco salad they called Bachelor’s Delight. It has been a family favorite ever since. The perfect meal for large groups. Its very easy to make and so yummy!

Bachelor’s Delight

Ingredients

2 cans Chili

1 bag Fritos

1 can (15.5 oz) Black Beans

4 c. Cheddar Cheese

1 bunch radishes

1 can, sliced olives

ketchup to taste

1 jar salsa

1 container sour cream

Ro*Tel Chipotle tomatoes & chilies

½ head shredded lettuce

Instructions

Depending on size of group you are feeding add cans of chili to a pot and warm. I like to add black beans and 1 can of diced tomatoes but those things are optional. Once warmed, layer Fritos first, chili, cheese, radishes, olives, ketchup or salsa and sour cream.
